About This Episode:
'Experiencing God in His nearness in such tragedy and pain truly was that gift in suffering.'
In this episode, I am chatting with an amazing woman whose story will amaze you. Married to her college sweetheart, she and her husband started a life that young women dream of. Then the unthinkable happened, and her husband and brother in law both died in a tragic accident. Now a young widow and mother of a toddler, Holly went on a journey of healing her broken heart and rebuilding her life.
Holly is the Executive Director of Hope Women's Center, an unplanned pregnancy health clinic. Even though Holly was raised in a pastor’s home and is married to a pastor, the fulfillment and calling she feels from the Lord for this ministry has impacted her deeply. Holly has been ministering all over the country for over 15 years sharing at churches, conferences, universities, and organizations about how God turned the ashes of tragedy and loss in her life into beauty and restoration. She is co-author of Dancing on My Ashes with her sister Heather. Holly previously served as Vice President of Marketing with Pursuant, a full-service fundraising agency to nonprofits. Holly lives in McKinney with her husband Aaron who is a Pastor at The Parks Church which they planted with three other couples seven years ago. They have three children: Emma (19), Malachi (14), and Ava (10).
