Hey there, welcome to the Courage Cast. My name is Andrea, I am your host, I am thrilled that you are joining me today. Wow, I cannot believe it is literally the middle of October when I am recording this episode. It's just so funny to me how fast the year goes, I have been really been engaged in really finishing the last 90 days of this 2022 year strong. And I've been having so many lessons along the way, it's actually been sometimes a bit overwhelming, I'm not gonna lie. And and just even the thoughts of how I'm approaching my life, my health, my business, and wanting to do it in a way that just feels really, really good mind, body, and spirit. And if you haven't already joined me, for this 90 Day Quantum Leap, it is not anything you have to do other than just jump on the email list. And I will email you once a week with some encouragement and also some questions, some journal prompts for you along the way. And I'm going to leave the link in the show notes for you. If this is something that you really want help with, you really want encouragement to finish the year strong. You know, I've been thinking about what that is going to look like when we get to the last day of 2022. And we're thinking wow, like, look at all that I've accomplished.

And so often, it feels as though it has to be measured in certain outcomes. And often it's just a way of being, we don't necessarily have to do all sorts of things. It's about belief that we are becoming who we need to become. So having said that, today on the podcast, I want to talk to you about your voice. And I want to start by asking you a question. Are you connected to your voice? You may think now you may be thinking okay, Andrea, while I'm speaking. So, yes, I am connected to my voice. But are you really connected to your voice? When you are talking to people? Or when you're sharing your story? Or when you're going live on line? Or you're talking to clients? Are you second guessing yourself all the time? Are you in some sort of unbelief? Are you feeling that what you're saying is not really what you want to be saying? Are you feeling as though you're not showing up in a way that is really authentic to who you are.

If you can say, you know, you kind of hit the nail on the head on the head with that, then it's likely that you are disconnected to your voice. And if you're disconnected to your voice, then you are also disconnected to your power. And we're going to talk about that. But before we do that, I want to share a little bit of a story. So when I was two years old, was probably the first time that I ever sang publicly. And I have loved to sing as long as I can remember, but we were at a family reunion. And my mom put me on stage to perform and I think I was singing You Are My Sunshine. I think that's a song that she told me I was singing. And I got to the end of the song. And I couldn't finish the song. So I just kept singing it and Z and Z and finally she had to come up onto the stage and finish the song with me and everybody clapped and you know I just loved it and but I've been performing I've been singing for as long as I can remember.

And it's something that I loved so much and I feel felt so connected as a child. Singing for me was an outlet. It was a way of expressing myself. It was a way of creating, and I never second guessed anything about singing, and about music wasn't until I was much older, that I got in my head around, you know, am I good enough? You know, Will I win this competition? You know, as we get older, and we start to do things for other people, all of the sudden, the joy we have in what we're doing seems to dissipate slightly. And I really pursued music. For years, I became a high school music teacher, I really had a dream of becoming a professional singer songwriter, I didn't end up doing that. But I did music as a career for 20 years prior to becoming a coach. And still to this day, I am teaching private voice lessons. And I actually am doing this really cool combination now of doing voice coaching, and mindset coaching, all in one package, which is actually quite cool. But I digress. I love music. I've always loved to sing. But one of the things that has come up for me in the past few years is this disconnect that I have now with my own voice. And I'm going to share a little bit about that at the end of the podcast. But something happened to me about four years ago, that was so hurtful, that I actually stopped singing. And I lost my power.

So we're gonna get to that in just a moment. But you may be thinking to yourself, Okay, well is this episode really, for me? If I'm a coach, or if I'm an entrepreneur, and I don't sing, if it's not something that I do, I'm not a communicator, I don't have a podcast. This is absolutely for you. Because we all are using our voices every single day to communicate with our loved ones with our clients. Whether we're going live on Facebook, or Instagram, or Tiktok, or whether or not we are recording a podcast episode, writing a blog, writing content, our voice is really coming from our source of power. So whether you're speaking it, singing it, writing it, it doesn't really matter. When you are disconnected to your voice, and disconnected to your power, you are not really able to make the impact that you truly desire to make. And when you're not making that impact, you're not calling in abundance in the way that you want to, you're not magnetizing clients the way that you want to. And a lot of that can be fixed. Okay. So there's some really good things that you can start trying, that are going to help you get reconnected reacquainted with your voice and with your power. And just the other day, I was talking on stories to a friend.

And we were talking about, you know, how we are connected to our voices, and to our power. And one of the things that came up over and over again, was that when we are there's this ease, and this flow. And when we are disconnected, it feels like there's pressure, and there is a lot of striving. And so if you feel like you're always striving or you're always feeling this pressure to perform in some way, and to share what you're doing, then it's likely that you're disconnected. So the first thing I want to talk to you about is the mind body spirit connection. When it comes to our voice. This is something that I work with a lot of my students on whether they're kids or adults, it has come up over and over again. When they come to sing for me. I can immediately immediately sense whether or not they are connected into their power or not. And the way I know is how they're first of all, how they're singing their body language, what's actually happening when they're trying to, you know, sing for me and I get that it's always a little bit nerve wracking to sing in front of someone.

But that's really when it comes out is when we are trying to do something in front of other people. You can really tell whether or not there is belief there. And there have been so many times where I have been working with a student. And I asked a question like, you know, how are you doing today and you're like, Well, I wasn't doing well in school today and things were happening, or I, you know, had a problem with my friend. And all these emotions were coming up within them, they were stuffing them down, and it was being held within the body. And they came to their voice listen to sing, it came out through their voice. And so what people are receiving from you, oftentimes, is those bottled up stuck emotion that you are maybe not dealing with, because you're thinking, well, if I just push it down, or push it away, or push it to the side, is eventually going to go away.

But that lingering frustration, or annoyance, or anger, or just pressure, anxiety that you're feeling is showing up in your body, in subsequently coming out through your voice. And you're not having the kind of power you want, because you're not showing up in that way. And those stuck emotions, they could be rooted in unbelief, the need for approval or validation from someone else, the need to really show up in a certain way that doesn't feel authentic to who you are. And in every way that we are using our voice, we are actually exposing parts of ourselves to other people. And you may not see it right away.

But it can become extremely evident to those who are following you, to those who are watching your journey to your potential clients, and to even allowing your career to be successful, and thrive in every way in your life. So whether you're a coach, you're an entrepreneur, you're an artist, in some way you're performing, if you are not dealing with these emotions, and if you're not dealing with the unbelief, that comes with just life in general things that we're everyday going through, you are not going to be expressing yourself to the fullest of your capacity. And one of the ways that I work with my students is we get to the root of what they are holding on to what is that belief or that emotion that is prevalent right now within them. And you might even know immediately once I say that exactly what that emotion looks like for you and how that is playing out.

And maybe even how you're showing up and sharing your story or sharing your voice. And I can even tell the difference, even in how I'm recording podcast versus yesterday, when I recorded this podcast. So yes, this is the second time I've recorded the podcast. In fact, it's more than the second time I recorded it so many times yesterday, they got super frustrated. And then I thought no, I'm gonna wait. And I'm going to record it again today. And today, I'm recording it. And I feel like I'm in a different energy. And I feel like I've released a few things. And that is why I'm able to show up differently and share differently today. And it's not about being perfect. And it's not about you know, being exceptional and everything you do, it's allowing yourself to really be heard in a way that is true to you. And that shows who you are.

So when you are not releasing those emotions, then you are not releasing yourself to truly be connected to the source of who you are, to divine, to your higher power, to whatever it is that you believe that you are connected to. And so along with that Mind, Body Spirit connection, is really being rooted and grounded in the knowledge that who you are and who you have been created to be is someone who can express themselves and express the truest form of who they are. And that will come through in so many ways. But definitely through your Your voice. So if you're struggling right now, with your voice, and you're struggling to communicate who you are, to show up in your power, I want to encourage you to take a look at where you might be holding on to those stuck emotions, to those things that have maybe happened in the past beliefs that have really kept you hidden and small, and not sharing your truth.

Now, I mentioned earlier in the podcast, that there was a time, about four years ago that I went through a situation that I lost my voice. And I've never really talked about this publicly. But this was a situation where I really felt this is when I was singing, that I had more to give. And I was already in my 40s. And I was already feeling kind of like, you know, my time was almost up. And I had a situation where someone sidelined me, and, you know, basically said, Okay, well, we're not going to use you anymore in this capacity. And when that happened, for me, I took it personally. And I shut down. And I almost made it mean, I didn't almost make it mean, I made it mean that I was not useful anymore, that my voice was not welcomed, or needed, or powerful, or good, really, I made it me and all of those things. And I actually started to believe that I didn't have power anymore, that my voice was not necessary that I might as well just sit on the sidelines. And this not only played out in this context that I was in, but it also played out in my business. And it hasn't been until very recently, that I recognized that this hurt. This wounding that I went through was a belief that I attached to that I didn't have anything left to offer.

And there has been this subconscious belief that has been running the show for me, that says you don't have anything left to offer. And it's been playing out in my business, in my relationships, and in many other ways. And it wasn't until I started thinking about just even sharing this podcast, that it came for me. And so even in recording this episode, I don't really have notes, and I'm just kind of shooting from the hip. And I feel in some ways that I'm a little bit all over the place, to be honest with you. But I knew that there was something I needed to share. Because I feel like so often, we don't really share what is going on behind the scenes. And until you recognize and realize that the subconscious beliefs that are running the show for you are actually showing up, you won't make a change, you won't actually get help to really remove those blocks. And to get a more empowering thought. And for me, just even the acknowledgement that I have been running in this belief is enough to shift it for me that awareness to know that I am no longer going to live out of a not enough belief. And what was said to me, probably wasn't said out of malice. But how I took it was the real problem, right? And often, that's how it goes. Whether it's an intended hurt or not, is we take something and we make it mean something and we make a belief around it and a story around it.

And so, I am releasing that belief. I am releasing that story from my own life so that I can free up my voice and free up my power. Because I am enough and you are also enough. And there's power in your story in your voice and what you have to share with the world. And when you reconnect with your voice, you will also reconnect with your power. Your intuition is one of the biggest gifts and capabilities that you have to navigate your life and business. And if you're not already using it to its fullest potential, you will not have access to all the gifts that God in the universe has desired to give to you.

Today on the podcast, I want to share with you 10 reasons why I believe it is so important to grow your intuition. Hey, friend, are you ready to take courageous steps to create a life and business you love?

Welcome to the courage cast. I'm Andrea Crisp, mindset coach, author and a multi passionate entrepreneur. For years, I was afraid to allow myself to shine that was until I discovered that I could step into my own power, shift my mindset and take ownership of my own destiny. Now I coach women across the globe who are ready to own their life and make a massive impact. Each week I'll share conversations with amazing humans who have been willing to face their fear and pursue their purpose. I'll provide a blend of practical and spiritual advice to help you take brave steps in your own life and business.

Hello, friend. Welcome to the Courage Cast. I'm glad that you're joining me today. We're talking about intuition. And I'm really excited about talking about this topic today. I feel very passionate about it. And it was so funny, because yesterday, I recorded the episode. And it's like 20 or so minutes long. But at the end, I just felt like something was off. My intuition kicked in. I was like, Nope, this is not what you're supposed to release. And this morning when I came down to rerecord it, I thought, well, maybe I'll listen through and pick, you know, pick some pieces out of it or whatever. But no, I deleted the whole thing. And I'm back, I have my notes, but I'm not even sure I'm going to use them.

So when it comes to intuition, how are you using your intuition? Or better question? Are you using your intuition? Every single one of us has intuitive capacity, we all have an inner knowing and an inner sense that guides us to what is the best direction for us to go, the best decision for us to make the best possible solution for an outcome. But so often, we defer our intuition, our inner knowing our God voice to the voice of someone else, to what is happening out in the world to what the mass is doing. And then we wonder why we're frustrated, why we're overwhelmed, why we feel burnt out. And why we feel as though we cannot make clear decisions on our own. There have been so many times in my life, when I had an intuitive hit about something. And then someone in my life and authority figure was actually telling me to do the exact opposite thing. And there were times that I listened. And I actually did what they were saying and didn't feel right at all. And there were times when I kind of went against that authoritative voice. And I did things myself, cause a little bit of conflict. But in the end, I felt as though that was the right thing for me. And if you're in the online space, you are likely being bombarded with so many voices, with coaches telling you to do certain things with mentors promising you that they're going to lead you in this direction or that direction. And you're gonna get this or you're gonna get that and how do we possibly make decisions when we are being bombarded with people's opinions, with voices with all sorts of things, right? So imagine what would happen if you just slowed down. And you really started to get in touch with what your intuition is telling you with what your god voice is speaking to you.

Not that long ago, I had to make a decision about whether or not I was going to continue in a mastermind that I'm a part of, and I wanted to share the story with you because I feel like it really shows how to activate your intuition. And this is a credible mastermind it is one that I highly highly endorse. And I absolutely love the community that's in it. I love the coach that runs it But when I signed up at the beginning, which was six months ago, I had an intuitive hit that it was only for six months. But it was such a phenomenal experience that I was thinking to myself, Well, this must be going for longer, I'm probably going to be led to continue in this mastermind longer than six months. And As the time approached, for me to make that decision, I still did not have a clear yes, that I was supposed to stay in, even though I wanted it to be a yes. I talked to different people in my life, different advisors. And they just really told me to listen to what my own intuition was telling me. I was like, Well, how was that helpful? You're not even helping me with this. But that is exactly what we're talking about today is really listening to that inner guidance, that inner voice that tells you when something is for you, or is not for you, even if it is amazing.

So what ended up happening was, it came about two weeks out from when I was supposed to make the decision. And I felt compelled one particular morning to text my coach and say, I would no longer be part of the mastermind at the at the end renewal date. And honestly, I was like, Oh, I just I don't really want to do this. I have so much FOMO. But I just knew that that was the right decision for me to make. And so I sent her the message. Of course, everything was fine. I felt sad about it. But at the end of the day, I was like, No, this is the right thing to do. And there are often times when we don't have a clear reason, or logic for the decisions we make. And that can feel like oh, well, that isn't the right thing that because there should be some sort of logic or reason behind this. But following your intuition is really stepping into the unknown. It's being in a place that doesn't feel comfortable all the time. Because what we're doing is we're tapping into something other than just our logic and reasoning behind life. And that will only get us so far, because we can make great decisions with doing pros and cons.

But there's often times that we really do need to trust and tap into that intuition and into that guidance. And you might think, well, I don't even know how to do that I don't even know how to tap into my intuition and guidance, well, I have a few things I do want to share with you today, that I think will be helpful for you, so that you can utilize your intuition to a higher degree. For me, it really, really looks like guarding my energy, because I am not only intuitive, I'm also empathic. And there is a difference between being intuitive and empathic. And when you are intuitive, you're listening to your own voice when you're empathic you can take on the energy of other people. And so for me, I've had to really, really like ascertain, Is this me? Or is it somebody else? Is this my voice? Or is it someone else's voice? Is this my emotion? Or is it someone else's emotion.

And so sometimes, for me when I'm making these decisions, I have to be very, very clear on what it is that I want on what it is that I desire. And really, really taking a step back and getting a loan, so that I am super clear on what my intuition is telling me or guiding me. And your intuition can come in so many different forms, it can come when you're in prayer or meditation, it can come when you're walking in nature, it can come when you're having a conversation with a peer. It can come when you're writing in your journal or even when you're reading a book, all of these intuitive downloads are often when something is happening, or when you've taken time to be alone and just listen. But it's really about recognizing what it is that is happening when you get your intuitive hit when you have that inner knowing.

For me, it is this sense that I know that I know that I know. Like you cannot tell me otherwise. And even if there's a ton of logic or reasons to back up the polar opposite of what I might be doing. It's just like Like, no, I just know. And that's that. And so here are some of the ways in which I have been working this out in my own life. So I have 1010 things that really are like my guidelines, my guiding posts for really staying in my own lane, and allowing myself to really listen to my intuition.

So number one is I have boundaries, and I create these boundaries around my energy. So even though I love being with people, and I'm definitely a people person, and I can be with someone for an extended period of time, I also know that it's wise for me to limit my time with people. And then if I want to extend it, I can do that. Because I can really ascertain at a certain point, when I'm with somebody whether or not I need to then get alone, or whether or not, I can stay with that person and be in their energy. And it honestly has nothing to do with other person. A lot of times, it's just about what I'm doing, and how I am receiving the energy at the time.

The second thing is really being in some sort of routine and having rituals, this can look different for every person. But I really truly believe that we can all have some sort of routine or ritual, even if it is really, really simple. And every morning, and every night, I have a morning routine and an evening routine. And those are both fluid. So I don't do exactly the same thing. And ever in the same order every day. Sometimes I switch things out, sometimes I move things around, I like to have a little bit of flexibility. And I like to have a little bit of change. So for me, the important part of it is creating that time and space for myself to prepare for the day, and unwind from the day. So what happens within that routine, and in with those rituals is really how do I feel that day? What do I need listening to my intuition? Do I need rest? Do I need to meditate? Do I need to move? What is it that I need to do and really being aware so that you're actually taking steps towards what it is that you personally need. So I could tell you what my routine is, but I don't know that would be super helpful for you.

The next one is naps. I am a pro Napper I love to take a nap every single day, I generally try and keep them pretty short because it is a reset. For me, it is a time where I can reset my battery, where I can literally recharge for the rest of the day. And that also gives me time alone.

The next one is movement. And movement can look like yoga, cardio dance, it can look like going kayaking, walking, it really doesn't matter as long as we're moving our bodies and we're allowing the energy to flow within us and through us. That is the major part of this. Because when we are in movement and in motion, we are allowing our intuition to be activated and to really share with us what we need. And oftentimes we think, Well, I just need to sit still and meditate. Well, there are times when we're gonna get intuition and download when we're sitting still and meditating. But quite often, you actually might get an intuitive hit when you're on the kayak, or when you're doing your favorite activity. So don't underestimate what your thing is like, if you're a runner and you love to run, you're probably going to activate your intuition on run.

The next one, which is my favorite is music. So there are times when I like to be very still and I like silence and I just listen. And I'll get an intuitive hit really, really quickly. There are other times though, when I will play music, whether it's me playing myself, or it is listening to a song. And I can have literally so much come through at that time. It's almost like it's just like a channel that's just been open and like receiving so much through that moment. Music for me that frequency when I'm attuned to that frequency is like so, so much comes through.

And of course there's journaling. So processing your thoughts through writing them out, reading them back. Oftentimes, there are people who like to draw and that creates an opening receptivity to intuition as well. So if like art is your thing journaling, writing, however it looks can be on a computer can be an actual journal can be on a writing pad, whatever it is for you allow that to come through through that way.

The next one, which I can honestly tell you is not one that I'm really great at, but it is eating, well, eating healthy eating for your body, really being aware of what your body needs in order to function optimally. When I'm at the highest vibe. I'm definitely eating well, when I feeling low energy, low vibe, it's probably because I've been eating too many things that are not great for my my particular body. And I know right away, I can start feeling used to I would not know right away, but now I can eat something and be like, Yep, I shouldn't eat that. And I'd like I shouldn't eat it. But it is, well, do I want to feel this way or do I want to feel better. So I've decided to be more intuitive when it comes to what my body wants to eat.

The next one is alone time, I need more alone time than I do with people. Now I live with my parents and six months of the year they are traveling and in Florida will actually probably more than six months. Because even when they're back in Canada half the time they're not here. So there's a lot of time when I'm alone. And then there's a lot of time of the year where I'm with them. And I love spending time with them. But even when they go out for the day, it's like something in me just feels this release, because it's my alone time and it is so nice. So that is often when I'm going to get intuition, my intuition is going to come through for me is when I have a long time, animals, they're very calming, met, whether it's like your cat, or your dog or your bird or pet snake or whatever it is not me for a pet snake, I'll stick with a dog, but I find them very calming, very helpful, I learned a lot of lessons from my dog, I'm not gonna lie, because she teaches me so much about myself. And she's a mirror for me, she mirrors back what it is that I need to see about myself.

And the last one is gratitude. When we are in gratitude for things, and we're really in a space of just being thankful and thoughtful about what is happening in our lives. So much more comes to us because we're in a space where we're actually raising the vibration. And we're raising the energy to really receive that intuition and that God voice speaking to us. So every single day, I want to encourage you to really carve out something in your life that allows that intuition to come a little clearer for you think of it almost like a radio, if you are tuned to the right signal, then you're gonna have the right radio station come through. But if you drive out of that signal range, then it's going to become a little fuzzier and it's going to be harder to hear. So it's really important that you're tuned into the right frequency.

And when you're applying any of those 10 things, I'm sure there's definitely more that you could do. or less, depending on on how you are wired, then I encourage you to find out what those specific things are for you, so that you can really listen to your intuition, be guided to make the right decisions, and really know for yourself exactly what is the next step for you to wrap up the story that I shared at the beginning of the podcast about this mastermind, that a man?

Well, I have two weeks left of the mastermind, and I still am not entirely sure why I'm supposed to be at the end of my time, other than I know that where I'm going is going to require something different. And so I really that's all I know, is just that and so I have to really be in a space to trust that I'm I'm being led in the right direction, and that I can trust myself implicitly and and trust my intuition that is guiding me that this is the right decision for me. And so it's not resolved yet I don't have an answer for you for why it is that I am supposed to be leaving this mastermind, but I really truly know that this is the right step for me and trusting myself along the way.

So I love To hear, what are some of the things that you do to increase your intuitive capacity in your own life? Or maybe where do you need to grow? I would love to know. So, screenshot this episode, write your takeaway and post it and make sure to tag me at Andrea crisp coach.

And I would love to hear what takeaway you have and how you are growing your intuition. Until next time, remember, you have everything you need to live bravely.

Hello, friends, welcome to the Courage Cast. I'm so glad that you are joining me today. Honestly, this podcast today is totally going to inspire you to take your business and your life to the next level. So get a pen and paper ready because we're going deep.

I have absolutely been loving doing this 90 Day quantum leap with you taking the last quarter 2022 and being super intentional about moving forward and finishing the year strong. But in case you haven't already join me, this is literally a container that will encourage you inspire and motivate you to finish strong on your terms. I'm sending out a weekly email on Sundays. And it really is that simple. Oftentimes, we're looking for a whole lot more to encourage and motivate us. But sometimes it's just knowing that there are other people doing the same thing that allow for you to move forward and to actually crush your goals to expand in every single way. And so the reason why this kind of came up for me specifically was I was looking back at the entire year 2022. And at the beginning of every year, I pick a word. And that word for me is what I want the year to encapsulate and how I want to focus and so when I chose my word for 2022, it was expansion, you know, to say that this year has been expansive is an understatement because it has been expansive every single way in my life.

So whether it be personal growth, knowledge, my beliefs, my finances, you name it, I'm I'm expanding. And it's been sometimes a little bit challenging and uncomfortable. But it has been awesome. And I've even expanded when it comes to surrounding myself with people who are also doing work, which was one of the things I was most intentional about. But when September hit, I got sick. And if you have listened to the podcast, any previous episodes, you'll remember me telling you that I got COVID at the beginning of September, and literally like everything that I had planned for September just basically went out the window. And it was that that point that I kind of took, you know, a step back and said, you know, in order for me to actually finish strong, I really need to be intentional about the last 90 days and almost take everything I've learned in the first three quarters of the year and accelerate a quantum leap the success. So that is exactly what I want to talk to you about today, the steps that you're going to have to take in your personal life, in your business life in order for you to get to the next level. And it's going to come out of my own playbook, I'm going to share with you what I've done in my own life to allow for expansion. And hopefully this will help you to create steps in your own life. So you can move to the next level.

And if you're listening to this, and you're like oh my gosh, Andrea, I do not need any more expansion, then it's entirely likely you are the exact person who does need it and who needs to listen to this. Because it's really too easy to become stagnant and complacent with our growth and be like yeah, I've grown enough. I've gotten enough knowledge. You know, I'm done. I'm good. But in order to really truly manifest your desires, you have to allow for more growth and more expansion. And some of the most influential people in my life mentors that I both know and I kind of follow from Far, they're always in a place where they are allowing for expansion in their lives. Because they see how important it is for the health of their personal lives or business, their vision. And in order for them to keep moving forward, they have to constantly be expanding. So it's not like you just do you have expansion, and then you stop. Like, that's not how this works. You continually expand to upgrade and get to the next level. And that's how people keep moving forward. And this was driven home by Lindsey Schwartz, cuz she was in one of the masterminds I was in she was a guest speaker in sales and social with Gillian Murphy. And she said, The reason you're not where you want to be is because you're not ready for it. And I was literally stopped dead in my tracks. Because I so resonated with that statement. The reason you are not where you want to be, is because you are not ready for it. And I was like, Oh, my gosh, I'm not ready for it. What do I need to do to get ready for it? What is in my way? What stopping me? I'm like, Okay, I'm stopping me. So I want you to ask yourself a couple of questions. This is going to, you know, lay the groundwork here to see where you're at. Are you ready to go to the next level? Are you ready to upgrade? Are you ready for the expansion? So question number one is, do you have the capacity right now, to serve at a higher level? So think about where you're at? In your business right now think about where you're at when it comes to working with clients? What is your capacity? Currently? And do you have a capacity to serve at a higher level? So if you had clients come to you with different issues with higher level issues, if you had clients who required a bit more of you? Do you have what it takes? Have you done the expansive work in your own life to hold space for that?

When I'm working with clients, I see this all of the time, because, generally speaking, they're successful. And when they're coming to me, there are often areas of their life that they're telling me, you know, this is not exactly where I want it to be. And the moment we address a limiting belief in that particular area, or something that seems to be stopping them, all of the sudden, it translates into also into their business. And it opens up something because it's always connected to something else. For example, a relationship issue is generally speaking, not just about your relationships, a financial or a lack limitation, is generally speaking, not just about your finances, all of these things are inter woven together. And so when it's popping up in one area, it's generally going to be seen in multiple areas. And until you are at the point where you can say, I wonder what this limitation or this belief truly is about, and get to the bottom of it, it's going to cycle through almost every area of your life until it gets your attention. And until you do the work to expand and move through it. So when when you're thinking about having capacity to serve at a higher level, serving at a higher level is going to require you to be at the level to serve the other person, and to help them move forward. And I have seen this time and time and time again, I wonder often like why am I going through this? Like why is this coming up in my life? And within like, I don't know, a week, two weeks, three weeks, I'll have a client come through that had literally the same issue. And I'm like, Oh, now I understand.

This is why I had to expand in my own life and move through so that I could hold space for them and serve at a higher level. So the next question is, are you emotionally, physically and spiritually ready to hold space for what is coming? Now the reason why I said all three, emotionally, physically and spiritually, is because if you are weaker in one of the three areas, it's important to focus on one of those areas. Maybe you're like excelling it too. But the third one's like I don't No, I'm not really great at that. Make, for example, emotionally right now great, spiritually great physically, not so great. And for you, it may be completely different, maybe physically, you're doing really well, maybe spiritually, you're even doing really well. But emotionally, you're not doing well. So when you're thinking about, are you at a place in your life emotionally, where you are doing the work to be able to move emotions through where you're at, it's at a place in your own life, where you're feeling where you have the capacity to help other people, and not be just completely overwhelmed by it. Are you spiritually in a place where you are co creating with higher power with source with divine? Are you physically in a place where you are feeling in your body, like you can hold space for other people, for example, when I got sick back in September, it was a huge, huge motivator for me to say, Andrea, you're not in a physical space right now, to be able to move to the next level. And that has been kind of like a red flag for me. Like, okay, this is the exact thing you need to focus on.

And then third question is, when you're met with challenges, do you expand to meet them? Or do you shrink back? Now this is going to come up in your life at every turn, right, because you're always going to be met with a challenge or something that is going to be presented to you to move towards? For me, this comes in various forms, like it can come in making a decision in my life in my business. I can even be in times where I feel like, I have to move away from something that's really even good for me, because it's not serving me at the next level that I'm going to be at. And then I have to actually move through the challenge of letting it go and releasing that thing. And there's always going to be something that is coming up in your life that causes you to grow and to expand. So are you shrinking back? And be like, Oh, I don't know? Or are you rising to the challenge to meet them.

So here's the thing, here's how I personally, am allowing for expansion in my own life. And I have three steps that I think are going to be helpful for you to be able to take a look at where you're at, to see how can I really get to the next level in my own life. So step number one is really want to get clear on what that next level looks like. Okay, because it's like playing a video game, right? I'm not a video game player. So it's not like something that I know a whole lot about. But I do know people who play them when they're getting to like the next level. It's all about learning, like the pitfalls and all about learning, you know what they're going to need in order to be able to be successful in that next level of the game. And really, when you're getting clear on what you want your next level to look like you really want to know, okay, well, well, what is required of me in the next level? Am I going to be serving higher level clients? Am I going to be in a better leadership position? Am I going to be required to speak at more events? Am I going to be required to, you know, understand how to communicate my messaging more clearly? What is it going to be for you? In that next level? Do you need to have all of those things? Maybe it's growth in one area? Or maybe it's growth in multiple areas? So take a look at who is already there? Doing the same thing, doing the thing that you are wanting to be doing yourself? What is that level look like for them? What is required for them at that level?

So for example, like one of my mentors from afar, and you know, I feel fortunate to have been mentored by her personally within fast foundations is Laurie harder. And when I listen to her podcast, or I am watching what she's posting on social media, I'm taking a look at like, What is she doing? What are some of the challenges she's rising to meet? What are some of the levels that she's at, because if that's the level, I want to go to that I need to be aware of what that level looks like, what is going to be required of me so that I can be clear on how I need to get there. So take a look at who's already in that space, what they have done to get there. And if you have an opportunity to engage with them and ask questions, get in their space in their orbit, find out, ask questions about how they were able to move through certain things so that you can have an understanding of what it's going to be. What is going to be required of you to get to that next level. Step number two is ask yourself what your expansion requires. Okay? So, when we're thinking about expansion, I mentioned that there's, you know, many, many areas, and oftentimes they're, they're tied to each other. But does it look like therapy? Or does it look like more like subconscious reprogramming or moving emotions through your body?

Does it does it look like, you know, working with someone who is a naturopath or a healer of some modality to really move you physically, emotionally, spiritually through where you're at? Are you needing a coach or you need needing someone to help you be forward focused, and really take you to that next level, and help you vision forward? Now, we all know in a coaching industry, there are so many different types of coaches, right? So depends on where you're looking to grow, you might need that particular expertise. For me, when I wanted to communicate my message more clearly, I was looking for a storytelling coach, when I needed some healing from past spiritual wounds, it was through a therapist who focused that was her expertise. When it was someone who I wanted to help with mindset, I looked for a mindset coach. So it just really depends on where you're looking for that expansion within your life, and find out what it's going to take for you to actually get there. And what it's going to require of you. Seven, number three is invest in your expansion invest in your growth. So that's going to mean that you have to take that financial leap forward to invest time, money, resources, to really find someone who's going to help you move forward. Here's the thing about expansion.

There is a lot of work you can do on your own, when it comes to expansion. I am, you know, a huge proponent, if you know what you're doing, have someone who is, you know, doing the inner work, who and I'm highly motivated. So I do a lot of it myself. But I'm also surrounded by people who are also doing the work or who are ahead of me that I can ask questions, who I can be in their programs, who I can hire for one on one. So I'm always looking for people who are able to help me in my own growth, and I am consistently investing in it in every single way, time, resources and money. And here's something that you want to look for, make sure that they've done the work themselves. And they're not just, you know, someone who got a certification somewhere and then is now doing it. There are a lot of people coming through as coaches. And I'm not, I don't want to judge anyone when it comes to this. But if you really need, especially when it comes to mindset or subconscious reprogramming.

If you want to have a shift in your life and a transformation, you truly want to work with someone who has done that, who has had that transformation, who knows what it takes to do it, not just someone who knows about it, because there is a huge difference. And so the same applies for other expertise, especially as you're moving forward. And you're going to those next levels, it's so important that the person you're working with has done the work themselves. So make sure that you are setting aside time for that expansion, and growth.

So those are the exact steps that I personally take. When I'm moving to a new level in my life. And in my business, I get clear on what I want the level to be, what it looks like, who's there, finding out how I can be mentored or how I can get in their orbit to find out what's going to be required of me. Number two, I asked myself, What is this expansion going to require of me personally, and what do I need to do? Do I need to you know, do therapy coaching, what is it going to take for me to expand? And three, I find a way to invest in my growth in some way. Now I have to say over over the past few years, especially you know in this expansion journey for me. I have been so particular about being in the right programs, the right with the right coaches. so that I can expand. And when you are in a coaching relationship with somebody who there is like absolute synergy, you can create magic and something can happen for you so quickly.

So I just really encourage you to do your due diligence and really be mindful about choosing what it is that you need. Now, I mentioned at the beginning the top of the podcast today about this 90 Day container. And you can find the link in the show notes and you can sign up for the email that I'm sending out every week. But if you're really serious about this, if this is like not something you're just kind of like humming and hawing like maybe this would be good for me, maybe not, I don't know. But you're really, really serious about it.

I encourage you to hop on a discovery call with me. And let's talk about what it's going to take for you to actually go to the next level. Hello, welcome to the courage cast, I am so glad that you're here today. Before I jump into the podcast episode, today, I just want to chat with you a little bit about the mindset mentor circle, and I want to invite you to join me every Wednesday 12pm Eastern Standard Time for a connection call. Now this is a call that is free. And it really serves dual purpose. It's for deep connection, actual genuine connection, which a lot of the times we don't get that online. But we talked for like 30 seconds, we don't really you know, connect on a soul to soul level. And I want to encourage you to join us it is free. And it's every Wednesday at 12pm. Eastern Standard Time.

Okay, friends. So I am excited to talk to you today about the difference between getting a quick win when it comes to coaching and playing the long game. And this is really about what it looks like for you when you're getting coached and mentored. However, you can flip it around and utilize it for your own clients as well. So I love coaching in all its forms, I have been a mentor, I have been a coach, I have been a counselor, I have been all of the things over the past 20 years. And I've had some incredible people in my life mentor and coach me, which is why I am where I am today. And every one of those people were amazing humans. But I often get asked the difference between what is short term coaching? And what is long term coaching? What are the benefits? How do I decide what I need? And what would be most beneficial for me. And here's the thing, friend, in every stage of life that we're in, and especially in business, there are times when we need to be able to discern what we need at that time. And there have been moments when I knew that I just needed a quick when I needed to jump on a call with somebody and get an answer for something that was really bothering me or I couldn't move something forward and I needed help to be able to do that. And then there were times where I needed to go a little bit deeper when it came to my own personal life when it came to my transformation, when it came to really, really creating something solid in my life.

That was when long term coaching was really beneficial for me. So you're in the coaching industry, you're an entrepreneur, you're someone who is in this space. So you know that there's all types of different coaches mindset sales, storytelling, business, financial health, I mean, it runs the gamut. Everyone has some sort of expertise and really offer something amazing within the space and I've worked with many different types of coaches. I've also worked with different healers, Reiki healers, people who do hypnosis, EFT, energy, intuition, all of those things. So, with so many things out there, how do you know what is the right coach for you? And just just not that long ago, actually, I jumped on a strategy call with someone who was considering working with me long term. And, you know, I went through what I do and how I help people get transformation and get results within their life. And we decided that, you know, I would circle back with her in a couple of weeks. And when I did, she let me know that she had decided to work with a different coach. And normally, you know, in in circumstances like that, you know, it can feel like, oh, no, I lost a client. But for me, what it really showed me was that I'm staying in my own lane, and I'm offering exactly what I need to be offering, and there's someone else that really fit her need. And she was able to find that and discern that for herself and move forward. And that is exactly what we need to be doing.

So I wanted to share a little bit of my own coaching journey and how I have been able to find the people in my own life that I need as coaches as mentors, and how that has helped me. And, and then I'll talk a little bit about, you know, how I work with my own clients as well. So way back in the beginning of 2010 2011, is really when I was introduced to the coaching industry. And it was a time in my life where I was pastoring. And I remember speaking to my lead pastor and feeling like I just, I don't know, I was like a fish out of water, there was something more that I needed. And I was expressing that to him. And he suggested that I look into life coaching. And I was like, What in the world is life coaching? And I was like, did they help you with her life? Like, what is it? What are these people do? And so here's the thing is, I really was in a transitional space in my life, I lacked purpose. I lacked intentionality, I was bored of what I was doing. I felt as though if I stayed where I was, I was basically going to walk out of there 30 years from then, never really having accomplished what I felt was inside of me. Because there was a lot of dreams or a lot of things that I wanted to actually see happen in my world, and in my life, and where I was, wasn't allowing for that. And so I was just kind of like going in doing the work. And although I felt like I was making a big difference, I wasn't really truly acting on my own dreams. And I wasn't even letting them to come to life. I wasn't even allowing them to become something more than just a little thought and a little, you know, dream for what could be.

So I was introduced to a lady named Kathy, and she was a life purpose coach. And so we started working together. And soon after we started working, I was absolutely in love with the coaching industry. She was so good at holding space for me in that transitional time in my life. And we went over so many things that not only helped guide me to where I am today and really helped me with the vision and purpose of what it is that I'm doing now. But it has seen me through so much of my transformation. And during the time that I was working with Kathy, it was a long term commitment. Because there were many things that I needed to go through in order to get to the space that I am. And once I was doing that coaching, I loved it so much that I decided I wanted to become a coach. So then I started doing training with her as well. So of course that kept me in the space a bit longer. And I was able to really get what I needed in a long term commitment with Kathy, because she was guiding me through the process. When I really had no idea what I was doing, or how to get there. She was somebody who did, and I recognized it right away. I connected with her. And I trusted her to move me forward.

One of the second coaches that I worked with, his name was Luke, and he was also amazing. And what Luke did for me was a bit different. There were times when he coached me in quick wins. They were like 15-20 Minute Calls, that I would be able to talk to him and during one of those calls was actually when I made the decision to write a book and he literally coached me through my perceived limitations within a 20 minute call. No joke. I went from not knowing that I could even write a Look to being so empowered to write a book that I made that decision and it was literally locked and loaded within me within a 20 minute call. And that was the difference between, you know, having a long term approach where she was guiding me through a transformation, versus really being able to shift my mindset quickly, within a very short time. So both of those are amazing, right? But how do you decide, you know, what is for you? Now both of these coaches were just a little bit different Kathy specialized in life purpose coaching, Lodz was a leadership coach. So it was a little bit different in what it was that I needed, and how I needed to show up for myself. But once I actually started my business, I wrote my book, I self published it, I started getting going, I recognized as a, you know, a new coach in the industry, that I still had a lot to learn, and that I had a lot of limiting beliefs that were popping up, as most entrepreneurs find when they are starting out. That's a lot of what happens like it's so much about the personal development within the first few years.

And that was really kind of what was coming up for me over and over again, which is when I met Kate, and Kate became my next coach. And Kate helped me not only in my business in really like determining where I wanted to focus and how I wanted to grow my business. But she also helped me with the mindset. So I jumped in her, I jumped in her mastermind, and worked with her for six months. And I also worked with her on a one on one basis as well. And during that time, I really felt as though I got really clear on what it was that I needed. But in that in that timeframe, I was surrounded by other women within the mastermind. And I was getting the one on one coaching, which is really what I needed. Now, the amazing thing out of this was, I was able to move forward. And some of the people within that mastermind ended up becoming my clients later on, which is the power of a community. So that long term coaching was really, really good for me. But it only brought me to a certain level. And so that is when I joined fast foundations with Chris and Laurie harder. And at that point, oh my gosh, this is like when I basically took a quantum leap in my business things took off because I was surrounded by entrepreneurs and people who are playing at a much higher level than I was. And in those months that I was part of fast foundations.

I literally saw so much growth in my life. That's when I got NLP certified. That is when I really started seeing my own mindset shift. Like really, really quickly. I was working with my coach Kyle who was foundational in that process. And then I started working with my next coach, who was Jillian Murphy. And Jillian, after sales and social became my one on one coach, because she is an expert in sales. And I was at a place in my life where I knew it was all about learning how to sell my offers, and sell what it is that I do to help other people and transform their lives. So that's when I started working with her. And I went into that situation with Jillian at times needing quick wins, and at other times needing community and support. And so I had to discern whether or not it was a time where I just wanted to jump on a call with her quickly and get a quick win, or whether I was going to jump in her mastermind and actually be in a supportive community.

Now I don't want to forget, another coach that I work with. His name is Alex and I've talked about him a lot here on the podcasts. He's been a guest several times. And Alex really was instrumental in helping me craft my messaging and my story. And we worked together for three sessions. And in that time, I was able to learn the process of how to share my story, how to write it, how to you know, articulate it, communicate it, and it was so beneficial, but I didn't have to work with Alex long term. It was more of a short term program for for me in order for me to grow.

The next coach that I work with is my friend Vanessa and Vanessa is a money mindset coach. And Vanessa was incredible helping me uncover the limitations I have had around money, and how that was showing up in my business and how that was showing up in my personal life and how that was keeping me from really making my business grow and expand. And over the course of a year with Vanessa, as I worked with her in both within a VIP day, and also within a coaching container that I was in with her, I grew so much. And here's the thing, friend, I think so often we think, Oh, okay, well, I need a coach that's gonna, like, be with me forever in a day. And there are many coaches, that that's what they talk about, they're like, you know, stay with me, you know, one year, two years, three years. But for me, often I need a change, I need to, you know, move forward and to expand more. And I don't need forever with a person, it doesn't mean I'm not going to be in relationship with that person. But it just means that I can learn from them what I need in that time, and then I can move forward.

For you, it may look like you need to actually be in long term relationship with them to really see yourself grow. And that's when you have to kind of make the decision between whether or not you want to be in a short term coaching container with them, or a long term coaching container with them. When it's a quick wins situation. It's really about fast action. It's really about implementation, it's really about, you know, taking what you're learning and moving on it quickly. When it's long term, it's more about how do you integrate what you're learning the transformation you're having into your life into your business in some way. And then, of course, you know, there are masterminds, which provide community which, which provide a way to network, which provide a way to uplevel in a whole new capacity.

One of the things that I have done is I've offered group coaching, I've offered masterminds one on one, both short term and long term. And now I'm offering VIP days, and that is virtual and also in person. And honestly, it really depends on what you need. So I'm going to walk you through even what it is that I offer and how it's beneficial for different people. So for people who are really looking for fast action for something to Quantum Leap them, to really get them exactly where they want to go quickly.

That's when I say a VIP experience is exactly what they need. Because we take a day, we set aside a day. And we actually walk through whatever transformation they need in their life and business in that moment. And then we take 30 days from there, to integrate that into their lives. But that first day really is designed to get you into motion, to get you into momentum and to create that quick win in your life. That's when people see that they are able to show up in a whole new way their business takes off, they're making more money, they're signing more clients, because it is something that really is quick. Now the difference between a VIP experience, and perhaps saying a three month or a six month coaching commitment is really when there are mindsets that you want to shift.

There are things in your life and transformation that you know you need in order to build the foundation of your life and your business. And with a three month or a six month coaching container. That is when we're actually able to see transformation happen over a longer period of time, and build a solid foundation for who you're becoming your future self. And really substantiating who you are in your business. And here's the thing, friends, I think some people think, well, if I just get a quick win, and you know, boom, I can move forward. But the benefits of long term coaching are that you are growing, and you are building a super solid foundation. And my hope is that you are going to outgrow me, you won't need me anymore. And then you'll be able to come back if something in your life has shifted and changed and you need to go to the next level. And it's not like I want to keep you forever as a client in the sense of like, keep you you know, paying me forever.

I want you to have the winds and make the progress you need to make in your life so that you can move forward. And then of course if things happen You can always come back. So that's a difference between like getting a short term win within a VIP experience and having a long term relationship, which is three to six months. Now, I also offer what I call a Power Hour. And the Power Hour is really for people who've worked with me before, who know exactly how we work and can get a quick win fast.

Or maybe you're somebody who's never worked with me before. And you just kind of like want to dip your toes, and you're like, I do need a quick win, I'm not sure I can invest completely right now. So I want to invest right now in a Power Hour, get a result, and then see how I can start moving forward. So you can be on either side of that coin, either somebody who has worked with me before, or someone who really wants to see a shift in their life without making a huge investment right away. So I want to encourage you that there are all types of coaching, and mentorship out there. I've had amazing experiences with all of my coaches. I mean, there have been times where I have felt a bit let down different ways. But a lot of that had to do with the place I was at in my own life, and what I needed. And so I had to sort through that and realize that your coach and mentor, their guide, they're helping you get to where you need to go. And there's always going to be growth along your journey, and times where you need a quick win. And times where you need strategy to play the long game, and a transformation that will help you to really anchor yourself and who you're becoming, to really make an impact in the lives of the people that you're serving, and that you're doing life with. And as we close today, I just want to give you one takeaway and ask you a question. What type of support do you need right now for this season.

I have talked a lot about the last 90 days and quantum leaping your success as you're moving into 2023. But if you don't know you need, then it's going to be really, really hard to get clear on how to move forward. So I encourage you just to jump on a discovery call with me. And we can talk about what are your options and how can you start moving forward. And if it feels aligned for you to continue working with me, then great, we can do that as well. So you can find that link in the show notes or go to my website, Andrea crisp.ca forward slash schedule and you can book a free strategy call. And you can book a free discovery call with me, friend, love hanging out with you.

I hope this is helpful. Hope you can get a quick win today. And also know that when you need that long term coaching and mentorship that it's also available for you as well.

Are you holding yourself back from having success in your life and in your business, because you're secretly afraid that you won't be able to handle the changes that come with being successful? On the Podcast.

Today, I'm sharing seven of the biggest fears that might be holding you back from success. And what you can start doing now to release those fears for good.

Hey, friend, are you ready to take courageous steps to create a life in business you love? Welcome to The Couragecast. I'm Andrea Crisp, Mindset coach, author, and a multi passionate entrepreneur. For years, I was afraid to allow myself to shine that was until I discovered that I could step into my own power, shift my mindset and take ownership of my own destiny. Now I coach women across the globe who are ready to own their life and make a massive impact. Each week I'll share conversations with amazing humans who've been willing to face their fear and pursue their purpose. I'll provide a blend of practical and spiritual advice to help you take brave steps in your own life and business.

Imagine setting aside an entire day for yourself a day to not only dream about what is possible for your life, but to take steps to unlock your limitless potential. Now there's something so incredibly magical that happens when you partner with somebody who is holding space for your growth and expansion. This past summer, when I had my own VIP day, I was at a point in my life where I knew something really needed to change. But I wasn't sure what that was going to be. And I had tried everything myself. I had tried to shift my mindset, I had said all the affirmations, I had repeated mantras. I did guided meditations and hypnosis, and all those things that are amazing. But still, something was off. And from the moment I said yes to the opportunity to have a VIP day and walked into that loft in downtown Toronto, something deep inside me ignited my fears of having to try and figure it out myself were completely alleviated. Because I knew that I was partnering with someone to help guide me through the process of not only creating what I truly desired, but to release whatever was blocking me. We took time to dig in to those fears and uncovered what had been holding me back. And not only did I have an amazing breakthrough, but I took action right there and then and uh, yes, it was a bit scary, and a bit uncomfortable if I am being completely honest. But for me, that was the moment that everything shifted into place. And that's why I'm so passionate about the limitless VIP experience. It's for the ambitious, soul centered entrepreneur who is ready, like I mean really ready to release old subconscious limitations, and to step into a strategic vision to create more abundance and confidence in every area of life and business. So if this is something that you really desire, and you know, you're ready to start embodying that next level version of yourself and to invite limitless potential, then I want to invite you to book a time to chat with me. Not only will you be empowered to call in abundance, with the knowledge that you can do it over and over again. But you will step into complete alignment with your higher self. And imagine the possibilities that can take place when that happens. You will feel powerful because you are spending an entire day completely focused on your highest good, my friend, this is your moment. This is time for you to truly take that next step and embody the next level version of yourself to gain massive clarity for your life and for your business.

Hello, hello. Hello. I am so glad that you're joining me today. It is the first day of fall. Now you are going to be listening to this podcast episode and it's probably not the first day of fall when you're listening. However, when I am recording, it's you know that crisp fall day here in northern Ontario and I'm pretty darn excited because I get to wear my boots I get to put on a nice sweater and cozy up. And there's just something about the change of seasons you know when the air is really crisp and cool. And we get to order the fall drinks. And I don't know, I just absolutely love it. And there is also something I love about the change of seasons in life. And even though those changes can often feel a bit uncomfortable, they are so necessary, can I get an amen? But so often we position ourselves in resistance when it comes to any kind of change. And I know that that is something that in my own life I have struggled with. And I'm really learning how to move through resistance and how to recognize when it comes right away. Because that resistance that we feel those, you know, old stories that we tell ourselves, that's really what is keeping us from creating what we desire. And it is also keeping us from truly being successful. And I wanted to talk today about the real reasons why we're not being successful. And it's not because we're not putting in the work. It's not because we are not hustling. It's not because we don't have really good ideas, or we're not qualified, or it is not because we're just not good enough. But those are some of the reasons why we think that we're not being successful. And so today, I wanted to break down seven reasons, seven fears that you might be going through right now that you might be facing and trying to navigate and trying to figure out, okay, well, like how do I move through this in my own life. And I have to honestly say to you, every one of these fears, I have had to navigate. And I continue to have to navigate, because every level of success that I have in my life, requires new growth, and requires a new new momentum to move forward. And so we can't stay still where we are and just say, Oh, I've done the work. And now I just get to rest and relax. It's kind of like no, I've done the work, I can enjoy the fruits of my labor. But there's going to come another season, where it's going to require us to again, move through some more resistance in order to really be successful. And I know that we are like rounding out the year pretty soon I was actually taking a look at the calendar. And I think today is like 100 days, to the end of the year. And it actually kind of hit me like a ton of bricks because I thought oh my gosh, I cannot believe that 2022 is almost over. I had such high hopes for this year. And and there have been amazing things that have transpired. But there is still time left. And if you are still in a place right now, where you're not having the success you desire, then I want to encourage you that you might be bumping up against one of the seven fears. So I wanted to break it down with the first one. Something that I really believe we all fear. And that is being inadequate, that somehow we are not going to be enough that who we are is not enough that what we know is not enough that how much work we're doing, or consistency that we're showing up with is just not enough. And that fear of inadequacy really stems back to our identity and who we believe we are. And when we don't have an identity of being enough in our in our lives and, and really, truly embodying this belief, then it's really easy to fall into that fear of inadequacy, the fear of not being enough. Like, let me ask you when's the last time one of those phrases went through your mind? Like, oh, I just don't feel like I know enough. Or I don't feel like I am enough.

Think back to when you were a kid. Was there a time in your life when that popped up? Were you in a classroom setting when a teacher called on you? And you maybe said an answer but it was wrong and all of a sudden you felt like you didn't know enough or you weren't enough. You weren't chosen for something. And those fears when we're kids root deep within us, creating a subconscious belief and that plays out In adulthood, it plays out in our businesses. And so when you're finding yourself saying, I'm not enough, I don't feel like I, you know, I'm truly qualified to be doing this, it is likely rooted in an old limitation and an old fear. So it's so important to identify what that is, and shift that perspective and start to take a look at how can I see this completely differently? Like, if you were to take that particular situation when you were a kid, and you were to take a look at it and say, like, what was really going on there? Well, maybe the teacher was trying to, you know, explain more, but I perceived it as me not being enough. And so, you know, when you're able to see a little bit of a different perspective on it, you can shift that mindset and start seeing yourself as Oh, I wasn't, if I just didn't know the answer, I was enough, I just, you know, hadn't been taught that. And so we start to see that inadequacy moving, and believe that we are truly enough we are qualified for what we have been given to do. And if you've been, you know, in this industry, the coaching industry for a long time, or you've been working, helping people, you know that when you have life experience, and when you have really gone through something, and you've had that transformation in your life, that qualifies you in a way that a book Never could qualify you, or a certification, or any of those things, right. So trust that you are already enough. The second one is a fear of uncertainty. Now I know in my life, that that fear of uncertainty of like, okay, what's coming around the corner, and oh, my gosh, if I don't have everything planned out, then I'm not going to know what to do. And we can get so caught up in being so far ahead, that we're not even living in the present. Now, you may be tracking with me hear me like, yep, that's totally me. I'm living three months from now, or I'm living two weeks from now, or I'm living in the past. And I'm not in the present, when we are not really grounded in the present. That is when we allow the fear of uncertainty to kind of take root in us. And it's all of these what ifs that seem to pop up into our world, like, what if this happens, or what if this doesn't happen? Or what if I'm not, and you fill in the blank, right. And so when we face those fears, and when we're in that place of feeling like things are uncertain in our lives, I want to encourage you to really get a bit granular, start small, and start to be, you know, thinking of little things that you can start to face right now, in the present and go, you know, what, when I'm present in my life, and when I'm setting an intention for what I truly want, I am certain of the outcome. And don't allow yourself to kind of go off in LaLaLand way, way out in the future, where you are creating crisis or trouble before it even is there because it may not ever surface. So really allowing yourself to stay in the present will keep you from feeling that you're in this place of uncertainty. The next one is fear of failure. Have you ever not attempted something, because you were afraid that it was going to fail? You're like, I don't know if I know enough about this, or I don't want to go live or I don't want to jump on somebody's podcast and be a guest. Because what if I fumble over my words? Or what if I don't show up in the right way? And people, you know, think I'm, you know, goofy or whatever it is. There are so many things that we keep ourselves from doing or attempting for fear of failure. And again, that's like placing something out into the future and saying,

Well, you know, like, I think I'm going to fail. Well, what if you aren't going to fail? What if you are, you know, just going to learn and grow and make regular mistakes like everybody else, and expand who you are through those experiences. It's really all about our perception of what it looks like to put yourself out there. And it's like, if you can shift that perspective from, oh, I might fail to Oh, I wonder what I'm going to learn. You're going to start seeing that there are so many things that you can do and that you can attempt and that you can try that you can try and you're going to see beautiful, amazing results come From those things. Now, one of the biggest fears that I think, you know, the youngest, the younger generation, maybe even some of the older generation, but face is this fear of missing out FOMO, right. And it's like, oh, my gosh, everybody's doing something, and I'm out there. Oh, my goodness, everyone's in a program, and I'm not in it. Oh, my goodness, everyone's hired a coach, and I haven't heard that coach, oh, my goodness, everybody has all these clients, and I don't have all of these clients. It's like this weird fear that what people are doing is really having an impact on you. And that you are at some sort of a deficit. And when we stay in a place where we feel like we're in a deficit, we actually keep ourselves from moving forward. Because we think that where we're at is not valuable, that, you know, the people we're surrounded by are not good enough that the coach that we're working with is maybe not as good as another coach. And we start to kind of get out of our own lane, and jump into other people's lanes, and kind of like, look around be like, Well, what's going on over here, the grass is not always greener. And when we are really paying more attention to what other people are doing, than what we're doing, we're actually not going to be out working our own craft our own purpose, our own zone of genius. And so this fear of missing out really, is going to keep you from your success, because it's keeping you focused on other people, and not really on who you are, and allowing you to outwork your own purpose.

And, of course, there's the fear of change. You know, I live with my, my parents, and I'm surrounded by people in their, you know, late 60s and 70s. And I'll tell you what, the whole concept of change in that generation has been so fascinating for me to observe. Because people of that age, they don't want to change, you know, the way things are done. They don't want to change the way how we live or the technology that we're using. I mean, they are good the way they are, and they don't want to experience any more change. And here's the thing, when you fear change, or when you fear the possibility that things have to keep moving forward. And that maybe you're going to have to find new friends are you gonna have to do things a new way, you're really keeping yourself in a place where you're not creating any momentum to move forward. And it stalls you. And I look at somebody like my mom who embraces technology, my dad too, for that matter. But she, you know, she's always constantly on her iPhone, and she's doing things and she's, you know, ordering things, she orders more things than I've ever ordered in my whole life. You know, we've got, you know, HelloFresh coming to the door, and Amazon coming to the door all the time. And she just really embraces how things moving forward. And I, I really applaud her for that, because she is not staying stagnant, and she is moving herself forward. When we don't embrace that kind of attitude. That's when we stay stuck. And that's when we don't have the true success we need. The next one is fear of being judged. Now, how often have you been in a conversation where you are like, I don't know, if I'm gonna share that with that person. Or, you know, I don't really want to let you know, my friends in on what I'm doing in my business, or I don't really think that, you know, my family would understand what I'm talking about when it comes to entrepreneurship, or being in the online space. And so we don't put ourselves out there. We don't share things in our lives because we're too afraid of what somebody might think of us. And so we don't do anything. Right. And we are in a kind of a mode of analysis paralysis, because we are fearing being judged by that person. Well, let's get real. Okay. If someone's judging you for what you are or not doing. I mean, honestly, if they've got time to do that, then is it really deserved pinion really matter? Does their opinion is really valuable to you? You have to get really honest with yourself about what it is that you want, how you want to create your own life. And once you know that, then take a stand on that and do not waver in that and when you are really set on what it is that you desire and creating that, trust me, when I say this, you'll start taking action. And people in your life will see that, and they will applaud you for it. And you won't worry so much about being judged. Because people will be like, Ah, look at what they're doing, how amazing. And then the last one I wanted to talk about is the fear of rejection. What if someone doesn't want to work with me? What if I don't make enough money? And all of a sudden, I'm kicked out of this group? What if, what if, what if right? It's again, with all the what ifs, because this fear of rejection, really is that people aren't going to want what I have to offer. They don't want me they don't like me. But when you're focusing again, on what other people are thinking, or perceiving, or what you think they're perceiving, you're not attracting in who it is that you truly want to be working with, and how you want to be living out your life out working your business, and really calling in all of the success that you want. So it's so important that when you're facing the possibility that you're going to be turned down, that somebody may not accept you that they might even turn their back on you, for some reason that you don't take it personally. And you're like, Yeah, this is a redirection. And now I can go in a whole other direction, free and clear of where that person is, or what they are doing. And trust that you are being guided to move forward. Because at the end of the day, your own success really is dependent upon you, and how you are outworking what is happening, the growth and expansion in your own life.

So if there's anything that I would love for you to take away from this podcast episode today is stop looking at the past or other people or their perceptions as an indicator for where you're going. Your future success is only possible when you start focusing on who you are becoming, and not who you've been. And if you are in a place in your life right now, where you're like, you know, I need to work through these limitations, I need to work through these mindsets, I invite you to jump on a call with me. And let's talk about what is going to serve you best to move forward. And you can do so by going to my website, Andrea crisp.ca, forward slash schedule. The link is in the show notes. And we'll chat about maybe where you're holding yourself back. What is that fear that is keeping you from truly embracing success within your life? And one question that I would love to leave with you today. Maybe you can journal on this, or you can just even think about it as you're moving forward throughout your day. But what fear Do you need to face in your life like if it was one of those seven fears? It was either inadequacy, uncertainty, failure, missing out change, being judged, or rejection. Which one do you need to face today? In order for you to be successful in the future? Friend, I love chatting with you. Let me know what was your takeaway from today? And let's continue the conversation. And until next time, remember you have everything you need to live briefly. If you liked this episode of The Courage cast, we'd love to hear from you. And to really get your mindset in a place where you are moving forward. And all you have to do is go to the link in the show notes. And you could register for the Wednesday call. And I will send you the Zoom link. And it is as simple as that. So today, I want to talk to you about some things that have happened in my life, some of the lessons that I have been learning. And I wrote a bunch of notes down about things that I wanted to talk to you about. You know, as soon as I pressed record, it's like one of those things that happened where you're like, Hmm, what do I really want to say, and so I think I'm gonna really talk from my heart. Now, over the past couple of months, I've been on this journey of expansion, and I've been talking about it quite a bit. In fact, I went and did a VIP day with my friend Vanessa in Toronto, it was spectacular. And from it, I decided to create some VIP days of my own. But when I was moving into this new space, there were a lot of things that were happening in my life personally, that I was having to move through. And that's, you know, pretty normal, when you have expansion in your life, that there are going to be things that become uncomfortable, and you have to change and you have to shift and you have to grow. And in order to really embody that new level and to really step into that next version of yourself, you cannot stay the same. And so that was coming up for me. And you know, it's almost like one of those things where you anticipate it's going to be a bit easier. And then you find out that Oh, I guess it's not gonna be that easy. And I have to go through this process. Much like I walk my clients through the process. And so I had decided that I was going to take another trip to Toronto and visit some friends that I had planned this really fun weekend going to meet some amazing people that I had never actually met in person

5:00
And, and I had an Airbnb booked. And I was really, really excited to go. But there was something that I was on my mind and I have been kind of working through when it comes to finances. And what I had wanted was I wanted to be able to make sure that my entire trip was paid in full, before I even went on the trip. And this has been something that I have been trying to exercise in my life over the past few months, anytime I do something, so that I am not putting anything on credit, I'm really paying things before I even go. And it's just kind of something that I want to move into myself. So I had made an intention to make some money and put the money aside. And what ended up happening was, I fell into doubt, I fell into this scarcity mode. And I started to doubt that I was actually going to be able to pay the entire trip in fall before I left. And the moment I made the decision. It was like, oh, no, what am I going to do? Should I cancel the trip, should I not go, all of these things started to come up for me, because I was in a state of confusion. And the moment I got into this state of confusion, my body started to you know, react and there was trauma response because I was being triggered. And before you know it, if I don't end up with COVID ending up with COVID-19. And I remember the moment that I took the test and it was positive. There were two reactions that happen. Number one, I was super disappointed, because I was like, Ah, I have to cancel my trip. And on the other hand, I was also relieved. And the reason why I was relieved was because there was a part of me, who was so glad to be able to be let off the hook. And when I mean let off the hook, I mean, to not have to worry about whether or not that money was going to come in, and whether or not I was going to be able to pay for the trip. In fact, I ended up getting money back because I got refunds on things I had already paid for. And so here I was now not feeling well forced to be home, alone, and not able to go on my trip. So that first 24 hours was like this up and down roller coaster for me of really feeling like Oh, I'm kind of relieved. But then I also am super upset that I'm not going to be going and I'm actually not going to be seeing these friends. And I realized how quickly I had descended into my fears. And I had to send it into limitation. And these are things that I have been working on personally in my own life. These are things I work on with my clients. And I was so frustrated and discouraged that here I was again, and why was this happening to me. And I know that I'm not alone in this that there are probably people who are listening to you, maybe you were you can relate to this where it's like you're making so much progress in your life, you're doing the work you are, you know, saying the mantras and the affirmations, you're, you know, taking time to do breath work, and you go to the yoga classes and you're taking the courses and you're really mindful about all of the things you're doing. But then wham, something comes out of left field. And all of the sudden you find yourself in a place where you are in those same fears you have been in for many, many years.

9:25
We are not alone when this happens. And so often it happens right before we're stepping into that next level. And for me, this was like one of those moments that was a test for me like are you going to fully step in? Or are you going to shrink back? And unfortunately, I have to say I shrink back. I did not step in. However, all is not lost because I want to show share with you some major major lessons that I learned from this experience, because of the fact that I did shrink back and immediately recognized that that is exactly what I was doing. I was able to go right to the heart of what those specific limitations were, and deal with them right there. And then well, of course, it's not know the best time to do that, because obviously, I wasn't feeling well, I had the chills, I was, you know, I didn't have a fever, but I was, you know, not doing well at all for the, for a good 24 to 48 hours. But beyond that, I actually felt pretty good. Now, here's some of the things that I learned along the way. So the first thing that happened was, I had to make a decision, the moment that I knew I was sick, how I was going to respond to the illness, and how I was going to talk about it. And I think oftentimes, when we are not feeling well, our go to, is obviously, can we get any more sympathy from somebody? Can somebody pay attention to me, and can someone sympathize with my plate. And I knew that by me trying to garner sympathy for what I was going through, was not going to be beneficial for me, because it was going to keep me in a mode where I was constantly looking inward at poor me, and this happened, and I was, you know, almost going to be in a place where I would, you know, be feeling sorry for myself, and I knew that was not going to be beneficial in any way, it was not going to speed the healing process. So it was really important for me to make a decision that I had to have a mindset that would support my healing. And this was really something that I leaned on the entire time, because even though I had put all of my plans on hold, and even though I was very, very disappointed, I knew that this would be a catalyst for an emotional healing for me, and through this illness, and my body, you know, going through the process of this healing, that I was also going to be healing, emotionally as well. And the reason why I tell you this is because there's been so many times where I've been hit with something, when I have an attitude of being a victim, or you know, see all things all, you know, stuff always happens to me or, you know, often we say, you know, different things like that, right. And this time, I knew that I had to take ownership of the fact that I kind of put myself in a position to get COVID. And I went over my aunt's house, I knew she wasn't feeling well. And I ended up getting covered from her. And so it was one of those things where I could have stayed home, I knew I was going away, I knew that I needed to stay healthy. But instead I allowed myself just to, you know, go through the motions now.

13:20
In no way am I faulting anybody, or am I even faulting myself. But what I am doing is I'm being curious about how I responded, based on how I was feeling. So when I was feeling fear and doubt, it was easy for me to make decisions out of that place in order to relieve that emotional pressure, which then ended up with COVID. And for myself, and that's not why all white people, you know, get sick. I'm not saying that, but I this is the lesson that I am learning for myself. And and so when we are in times of pressure and stress in situations, it's so important that we evaluate how we're you're feeling and don't make decisions based off of how we are feeling in that moment. Because often it's just going to take us down the train to nowhere good. So I want to encourage you that when you are facing hard, difficult things, make sure you get yourself in a position where you are able to truly make decisions out of a place that would benefit you and not put you back. And so for me, I ended up having to go backwards in order to learn the lesson instead of moving forward into something that might have been really amazing.

14:53
The second thing that was really stood out to me was that whatever you focus on, you will attract. And, you know, even though I wanted something, and I want I desired to go away, my focus was not on going away, my focus was actually on the fear and on the limitation, and that was the underlying subconscious belief that I had. And subsequently, I ended up attracting an illness and having to stay home. Because I was focused on my fear and on my limitations, and almost needing something, an excuse to get me out of what I really wanted, which was to go away. But my fear was stronger than my desire. And so often we let our fear be stronger than our desire. So even if you're expecting something in your life, or you really, really want something to happen to manifest in your world, if your fear, if your limitation is louder than that expectation, then it's going to crowded out. And you are not going to call in what you desire. Doesn't matter what kind of action taker you are, doesn't matter how hard you work, or how much you hustle for what you want. If your expectation is being crowded out by your limiting beliefs, then you are going to stay in a place where you call in and manifest probably the exact opposite of what you truly want. And your fears are going to speak louder, and that is going to attract more fear. So the lesson for me was to be so so aware of what I'm thinking. And if I really do want something to be very certain about what it is that I want, and focus only on that.

17:03
The next one was that our body is always trying to tell us tell us something was always telling me something. And that we need to listen, we need to step back and actually listen to what it is that we need. Now, there are so many other little things that were happening during the two weeks when I was you know, sitting at home convalescing, getting better all of these different thoughts that were coming to me and decisions that I was making, that I really hadn't been paying attention to. But the moment I was still enough, because I was laying in bed, all of the sudden those things came right to the surface and right to my attention. And my body wanted me My Mind, Body Spirit wanted me to listen, to pay attention, and to really start to source my own support. I realized during that time, that I was actually looking outside of myself for everything for answers for help for the support I needed in my business. And I was not taking responsibility for myself, I was allowing other people's voices to be louder than mine. And for me to really defer to what other people were telling me to do. And instead of looking for answers, within myself, I was listening to a podcast reading a book, just you know, taking the advice of my coach. And none of those things in themselves are bad or wrong. Because obviously, I have a podcast, and I'm talking to you online right now. And I've written a book and I shared with, you know, stories in my book, and I'm a coach. So all of these things in themselves are not bad. But when we're not listening to what our own intuition is leading us towards and guiding us towards, then we're going to stay in a state of confusion. And that those states of confusion are often going to keep us from moving forward, keep us from truly expanding and moving into what it is that we really really desire. And our mind body spirit is always going to be trying to tell us what it is that we need. And for me it came in the form of getting completely still and being sick enough to lay in bed and actually have to take the time to really source the answers for myself. And so that really led me to slowing down completely and going you know what, maybe there are things that I'm doing maybe the timing is off.

19:59
Maybe I don't need this as much as I think I need this. And I started to really examine what was for me and what was not for me. And I think that in the the moment of really not feeling well was when I was taking stock truly, of what it is that I needed to move forward into the next season of my life.

20:25
So, there are so many other lessons that I learned, but those are the three that I really wanted to share with you today. How important it is to have a mindset that supports are healing. Number two, what you focus on, you will attract. So be very mindful of what it is that you are expecting. And then number three, is really pay attention to what your body, mind and spirit is telling you so that you can make decisions in a way that support exactly what you need to move your life forward. I hope this helps you if it did, I would love to know if you would leave me a comment in you can reach out to me on Instagram you can DM me, I would love to have a conversation with you about this. You can find me at at Andrea Chris, coach and friend. I hope that you are well and that whatever you are doing is prospering. Your mindset is your greatest asset! But it is also what may be holding you back from taking that next step in your life. Are you ready to reframe your mindset so that you can step more confidently into your purpose?

0:00
Are you someone who considers yourself a creative or a multi passionate entrepreneur? Today, I want to speak to all of my creative friends. And just in case you're wondering, if you're an entrepreneur, then you are likely a creative, you just may not know it. So often our creatives, the people who associate themselves as creatives are artists, musicians, designers, writers, speakers, actors, podcasters coaches. So, if you are one of those people, then you got to stay tuned for today's episode. Because oftentimes we feel that when we're being creative, we have to accept what the world says we're worth. And today I want to bust through the myth that you have to live as a starving artist, so that you can start moving towards embodying a mindset of abundance. Hey, friend, are you ready to take courageous steps to create a life and business you love? Welcome to the courage cast. Each week I'll share conversations with amazing humans who have been willing to face their fear and pursue their purpose. I'll provide a blend of practical and spiritual advice to help you take brief steps in your own life and business. Hey there, welcome to the courage cast. My name is Andrea crisp, and I am so excited to be here with you today. It is a Friday. Here I am on a podcasting recording binge. Right now I'm super excited because I'm bringing you two brand new episodes. Last week, I shared with you all about how to step in to that CEO boss energy. And today I want to talk to you about becoming a more confident performer. And maybe you're like, Well, I don't really perform. So I don't know if this is a really a good episode for me, well, let's put it this way, if you're creative, if you're somebody who is sharing their gifts with the world, then in some way, shape or form, you are also a performer. So I want to talk about the mindset that we need, when we are stepping into that confidence when we are really showing up in our value and our worth. And for many, many years, as a musician, I did a ton of stuff for free. Because while I thought people expected me to I sang at weddings and funerals and events, I would like way discount prices for certain things because it was either asked or expected of me. And it was just something that I did. And to be quite honest with you, I really felt like I that was what I deserved. That was you know, kind of how the gigs went, you know it as a musician, you really didn't get paid what you're worth. And it wasn't until I really started to become a coach and started to understand the full realization of our worth and value when it comes to standing in our power that I recognized, like maybe where I had gone wrong in my own creative life, and how much I had missed out on opportunities. Maybe some regrets that I had, and maybe some feelings of like even bitterness and like resentment for not feeling like I had been renumerated Well, in my own life. So those feelings made me feel as though I wasn't bringing value that I wasn't able to truly show up as someone who had a gift to offer the world. And honestly, that kind of internalized.

And what ended up happening was I internalized those feelings I internalized my own perception of what I thought people were doing. And I had this belief that I wasn't good enough that I was not valuable that what I had to offer was not something that people really truly wanted or were willing to pay for. And when I became a coach that carried over that carried over into my coaching business because I had this underlying money mindset that really kept me from believing I was worthy of charging more in my life, you're like, Well, how does that really impact being a confident performer? Like, here's how it impacts it, when we don't value ourselves, and when we are not living out of an abundance mindset, we can't truly show up in the confidence that we desire, and really give 100% of what we have to give to the world. Because we're in this mindset of lack, that there needs to be more that we need to be doing more, being more, because for some reason, we're not enough. So when you're in that mindset of lack, there's always this like, you know, there will never be enough to go around, I'm never gonna make the money I want to make people just are always trying to use me that are getting a respect for what I do, I feel devalued. I'm never going to make enough money to even survive, or to pay my bills, or to do any of those things. And so, if you are feeling that way, then it is entirely possible, you are in a mindset of lack. And what we want to do when we are moving into becoming more confident and standing in our power, is shifting that. So that you are standing truly, truly, truly, in a mindset of enough and of abundance. And more than enough, really. So how do you do that? That's the big question, right? Like people like, Well, what do I do? How do I actually shift this mindset? What what's the process? So the very first thing is you want to identify what is the limiting belief or the story, the perception that you've been carrying, and that has been holding you back from putting yourself out into the world, or from making a shift or a change, or for you know, telling someone Hey, listen, you know, I am upping my prices, or this is how I'm going to start doing things. When you are really standing in your power, you are not afraid of what people are going to think you're not afraid of whether or not they're going to be like, Okay, well, I guess, you know, I'll go to somebody else or, because if that person does, and obviously like that, you know, it's time for you to move on anyways. So you want to identify where did that mindset originate? What was the limiting belief behind that, so that you can start to shift that mindset. Now, one of the ways to do this, like oftentimes, people talk about affirmations, or mantras, or just believe differently, but here's the thing, friend, these are rooted deep rooted subconscious beliefs that happened probably many, many years ago. And our reach triggered every time something similar happens, you feel the same way you felt maybe when you were seven, and you didn't feel like you were enough. And in order to shift those beliefs, you have to go to the root to the time where you experienced it for the first time and uproot the belief. Replace the mindset so that you can start living out of a whole new paradigm.

And last week, on the podcast, we talked about paradigms, we talked about what is that a paradigm is a new way of believing a new way of living for years, you probably have lived a certain way because of a belief you had. Well, now you have a new belief. So you need to create what it is that you want and live out of that. So the best way to do that is to really get into the science of it of the neuroscience. And really to shift those beliefs. You can use things like the neuro cycle, you can use NLP. But I would recommend when you are doing this mindset work that you are working with somebody who knows what they're doing, and can help you not only shift the belief, but integrate that into your life, so that it becomes something that you are consistently moving yourself forward in. The second thing I would say when you're in this, you know, mindset of lack or you're feeling as though you can't be confident, you want to embody that new mindset. It's like what I just shared in the first one, which is, is really stepping into a new paradigm. So when you're embodying a new mindset, you're showing up in a whole new way. And there are often times where resistance will hit you like a ton of bricks and all of a sudden you're like, oh my gosh, like this keeps coming up and that keeps coming up. It's like one test after another and you're like it just would be easier to go back to the old belief because that's where my comfort zonas that's where I was. But when you're embodying a new way of being a new paradigm, it's so important that you have the structure and accountability for you to be able to move in the direction that you truly desire to go to be in the embodiment of this new belief. So it's important that you get clear on what it is that you desire, and then you make it intentional in your life. And you show up in the energy of that expectation of that manifesting. And that happening. And manifesting is not just like sitting back and letting something happen all the time manifesting does require us to, to take action. But it's almost, I think it's funny, because people are like, Well, is it just, you know, allowing what's allowing, but it's also being in partnership with the Divine and allowing the divine to work through you. And you're partnering. So you know, manifesting, you're doing it together, you're bringing it to being together? Anyways, I digress. Okay. Number three, live out of this new mindset. So set boundaries around what you will and will not do from this point forward. Say yes to what completely lights you up. Many people say, if it's a full body, yes, then do it. And if you're not sure, then this may take a little work. I mean, for me, I was not entirely sure how I felt if it was a full body. Yes. So I think sometimes it just really takes a little bit of time for you to step into that new mindset and really live it out. And then stay in that, that mindset of abundance. And that could mean you know, being around people and around a support system that is that new level for you, and is moving you in the direction that you truly, truly want to be going.

So if you're somebody who is a creative, if you're somebody who is living their life, putting their gifts, their talents, their art into the world, friend, it is so important that you are creating in your life, a mindset of abundance, so that you can call in opportunities, so that you can call in what it is that you desire. Maybe it's new gigs, maybe it's the payment for what it is that you truly want to be doing. So that you're not feeling as though you're being used or you're being devalued. But it's really up to you to shift that for yourself and step into the embodiment of being someone who is calling in abundance in their life, and really has the confidence to speak up for themselves to really stand in their power. And in the VIP experience that I've created, there is a track where we just focus solely on this. For creatives for people who are multi passionate entrepreneurs, or people who are putting their gifts into the world that feel as though well maybe people don't get what I'm doing. As someone who has been a multi passionate entrepreneur and a performer and a musician for many, many years, I truly understand the mindsets, the blocks that that one can face when they are trying to move into this place of abundance and and to really embody a new paradigm. So with a new VIP experience, I created a track that is solely for creatives solely for people who are wanting to elevate their confidence. And all of their confidence is going to be really rooted in enoughness or abundance. And really what it is that you believe to be true about yourself and your life. So if you are in a place in your life where you're like, This is me on a call and more income, I want to call in more opportunities. I want to call in more of what lights me up so that I can stay in this and I can truly outwork my passion and my creativity. I want to encourage you to set up a discovery call with me. And let's talk about what that would look like for you specifically, maybe what blocks you're facing, and see how this could truly transform your mindset and truly help you embody a new way of being so that you can create what it is that you truly desire in your life, through your art and through your creativity. Friend I love hanging out with you. I'm excited To jump into a long weekend. If you want to know more about the VIP days, go to Andrea crisp.ca forward slash VIP. Are you ready to take that next step in your business and truly embody the version of yourself that not only acts like a complete, badass boss bitch? Well, today on the podcast, I'm going to share with you three mindset shifts that I believe you need to make in order to move your business and yourself to the next level. Hey, friend, are you ready to take courageous steps to create a life and business you love?

0:31
Welcome to The Couragecast. Each week, I'll share conversations with amazing humans who've been willing to face their fear and pursue their purpose. I'll provide a blend of practical and spiritual advice to help you take brave steps in your own life and business.

1:06
Hey there, welcome to The Couragecast. My name is Andrea and I am your host, I am so excited to be back with you. You know what, this morning I woke up and it was like fall is in the air. And there is nothing I love more than feeling like the crunch of the leaves underneath my feet, although they haven't completely fallen off the trees yet. But I love having new seasons. And as much as I loved summer, and it's like the best season in the world. I also really love fall. And there are new things happening in my life. There's probably new things happening in your life as we move and shift into a new season. And today I want to talk about what does that shift look like in your life, when you're moving from one belief to the next. So you might be in a place in your life and your business right now where you're like, Yeah, I'm a small business owner, or I'm a coach, or I am an entrepreneur. But I don't really feel like the CEO of my business. And you maybe even don't even know what that is or what that would feel like or what kind of shifts you would need to take or making your life in order to step into that new level in your business. So today, I want to talk about three shifts that you can make when it comes to mindset.

2:45
And how you can start embodying this next level version of yourself within your business. So maybe if you're thinking to yourself right now, like Well, that's a big leap like that, you know, from where I am now. Maybe it just started, you know my business a year ago, and you're already wanting me to like jump into the CEO mindset. Wherever you're finding yourself today, I'm sure there's going to be something that you can take from this particular podcast episode. It was actually interesting, because the other day I was talking to somebody who's very new in the online space. And she's like, Yeah, I already feel like a boss. But it was really interesting, because once we started to dive a little deeper into what her mindset was, there were so many indications that she really wasn't owning up to the level of success that she wanted or desired, or allowing herself to truly step into that level of success. So if you're feeling that way, I hope that you will get something from this particular episode that you can take away, you can implement into your life. And of course, I'd love to hear about that. You can follow me on Instagram at you can follow me on Instagram at at Andrea crisp coach and tell me what one of your takeaways are from this episode. So the first thing I want to talk about is having a paradigm shift. And that's a fancy word for saying mindset shift. Because when you think about a paradigm, which is learning I've gotten from Bob Proctor, when you have a paradigm shift, it's almost like you have this way of being shift, this way of believing shift. So when we're in an old paradigm, we are functioning out of an old way of thinking, believing and being.

But when we step into a new paradigm or a new place in our lives, we're essentially shifting into something that is leveled up something that is taking us to another space and time and really shifting our way of thinking and being so this is kind of like the actual definition, and important change that happens when the usual way of thinking about or doing something is replaced by a new and different way. Okay, so I probably could have just said that. But I wanted to explain it in a way that maybe you could relate to a little bit more. So the first thing I want to talk about is how to create a new paradigm for yourself, when it comes to your business, because as we know, you know, we are in the business, right, we are taking part in the business, we are the person who is the business in some senses, but really, the business is only going to elevate to the level you are elevating. And even if there are people in your world that are your support team, and people who are, you know, part of what you do within your business, maybe your staff or people who are, you know, on retainer for you or contract with you, they're only going to go to a certain level, depending dependent upon where you are going.

6:07
Okay, so creating a new paradigm for yourself in business you have to ask yourself this question, what would that look like? And what would that feel like? Because you're creating what you desire. So if you're like, I want to feel more freedom, I want to feel you know, that I can flow in my business more that I can, you know, be in my zone of genius, more that I can be confident in what I'm sharing and, and really, you know, position myself, as somebody who knows what they're talking about, then when you're doing that, you have to be very, very clear on creating that new thought, that new way of being in your business. So it's, it's really about how you're showing up. So if you're kind of showing up haphazardly, and you're like, you know, I'm not really going to pay a lot of attention to what I'm doing, I'm not going to put my full effort into it, and I'm just going to kind of throw it together, then you're probably going to stay in an old paradigm.

7:19
Because if what is happening right now is not working for you. It's entirely likely you got to shift that. Okay. So the next thing would be, it'd be looking at how are you making decisions from a higher level from this new paradigm. And I was having this fantastic conversation today with one of my peers, Stephanie, her and I talk every week, and we are talking about really allowing ourselves to be the decision makers in our lives, and to allow ourselves to trust more, that we are being led and guided, and that we have the answers that we need, we don't have to look outside of ourselves for confirmation all the time, we truly do know what it is that we need. And that means that we can make these decisions on a higher level, because we're not looking outside of ourselves to say, Oh, is this the right decision? Should I do this? Should I hire somebody? Should I outsource? Should I you know, start a new program? Should I price it this way? All those questions that come up. But when you kind of peel it back a little bit, and you say, You know what, when I'm standing in my power, when I truly am I really stepping into that boss energy, I am making the decisions for myself, and I am trusting my gut instincts. So maybe that would look like you know, really placing yourself in rooms where there are people who are doing the same thing.

8:57
Maybe going to conferences, joining masterminds up leveling your own game, in order to be in the same mindset in the same paradigm as people who are doing the same thing. And if that feels like oh, I don't know, I don't know which one to join or what I need to do. And you're just kind of questioning what that will look like specifically for you, then perhaps one on one coaching is more. What you need right now is to kind of dial in, how can you shift that thought process that paradigm, those mindsets, so that you can truly step into that boss energy that really calls in what you desire. So, when you're doing that, when you're in that boss energy, you're also creating a new paradigm for yourself when it comes to abundance, money, getting paid, having clients, all the things.

9:58
Somebody asked you a question. If you were to be really, really honest with yourself right now, do you believe that you can charge?

10:09
Do you believe that you can charge higher prices right now for your services? Or do you feel like you vacillate between getting a client who will pay for your services, then it's like, two weeks of crickets, nobody's there, nobody's knocking on your door. So you're like, oh, my gosh, I need like a flash sale, I need a slash on my prices. And, you know, hope that someone comes in on like a new offer, right? Like a reduced offer, right? When you're doing that, and trust me when I say this, because I have done this. It really is playing around with your energy with how you feel about yourself or your value. There is nothing wrong with having a sense to offer somebody a lower price on something.

11:06
But to slash a price on something, because you are in scarcity is a whole different ballgame. So stepping into that paradigm, stepping into that new way of being when it comes to abundance money clients in your life, really is about how are you showing up when it comes to your money mindset, to your abundance mindset to believe that you can charge what it is you believe you can charge? Because no matter what anybody says, and tells you to raise your prices, or tells you to do that until you are feeling aligned with it until you can have a full body Yes, around it. It's not going to feel right. So it's all up to you. So what does that look like? Well, it looks like when you're having an abundance mindset that you are fully aligned with everything you are doing. And when you are then you're creating offers, you're putting out prices that feel right. And it's not about whether or not they match industry standards, whether they're higher or lower or comparable. It's about what you feel you want to be charging, and what feels good for you and the transformation that you're providing for someone else. I think oftentimes we get, like really caught up in well, I don't know, you know, should I price it this way? Or should I go higher or lower. But at the end of the day, we're not really taking a look at what is the outcome? What is the result? What is that person walking away with? What is the transformation they are having, that they need you that they want to hire you. And if it, if it really is something that they truly, truly want, then they're willing to spend the money on that. And the third thing is creating a new paradigm for yourself, when it comes to being a leader or an influencer, an expert in your field. And the way you know whether or not you're being seen as the expert or not, is whether or not people are trying to sell to you.

13:21
Or you're selling to others. This was something that I literally, like just recently had this huge like aha moment for myself. I actually talked to one of my coaches, and I said, You know what, I feel like I'm being sold to a lot. And she said, Well, how are you showing up in your business? How are you showing up online? And she said, I never get sold to? And I was like, What do you mean, you never get sold to? She's like, well, I positioned myself as the authority as the leader. And to me that was like, Oh, well, maybe I'm not really like showing up as the authority and the expert, which means people think that I still need something more. And like I've said earlier, we already have everything we need ourselves, we already have all of the answers within ourselves. I mean, there are strategies and there are things that we can learn, obviously, that's why we're hiring people. That's where we're working with people who are experts in their field. But at the end of the day, how you're showing up energetically within your business within your online presence within your communication, your emails, just in how you are is a huge indicator in what you believe to be true about yourself and about your business and how people are going to perceive you and whether or not you're going to be able to move your business forward. Okay, so you want to always be adding value consistently showing

15:00
Up to add value, that doesn't mean you have to be there every single day. I mean, I don't personally believe that that's what you have to do, you might hear people say that all the time, when you feel energetically aligned to do so, then absolutely show up and share exactly who you are. That's why I love having a podcast because oftentimes, like today, I'll record two episodes. And I will get ahead by two weeks. So when it comes to next week, and I'm getting ready to go out of town, and I'm in my cycle, where I'm probably not going to feel like I really want to be like communicating in this way, I will already have recorded, edited, and have a podcast ready. So energetically, I'm not trying to make something happen, that doesn't need to happen during that time of the month for me. So really understanding when I'm showing up and how I'm showing up, but consistently putting out content. Hmm, see how that works. Okay, so you want to add value, position yourself as an expert and authority, and really share more with your audience on your existing platform. You don't have to, you know, reinvent the wheel, you can do what you're doing right now in the space you're in. Or you can invite yourself to be on someone's podcast, asked to be on their podcast, or you can do an IG live to or whatever works for you.

16:36
As long as you are showing up as the expert and the authority, and really, truly believing that you are. So when it comes to really showing up in that CO boss energy, it's about creating a new paradigm around what it is that you believe to be true about yourself and your business. And then once you have that mindset, once you know exactly what it is that you need to do specifically, then it's all about embodying that, and integrating that into your business. And that is exactly why I created the new limitless VIP experience. Now one of the tracks that we have, is really dedicated to stepping into that CEO boss energy. And for so many people that are sitting in this kind of like, I don't know, and for so many entrepreneurs that are waiting for something to manifest in their business waiting for something to happen and are not really sure. What are the steps that they specifically need to take. This is why I created this day, is to give you an up leveled version is to give you an up leveled experience, so that you can step into what it feels like to be a CEO to be in this upgrade in this upper level in your life. So that you can start embodying it. And oftentimes people think, Well, gosh, you know, like, it's quite a hefty investment. And like, is it just really one day? But here's the thing you're not necessarily paying for one day, you're you're really investing in your transformation, you're investing in? How are you going to shift where you are now and step into this new paradigm for yourself? What is that going to look like? How are you going to embody that? What steps are you going to take? How are you going to implement and integrate that into your everyday life and business. And so in the VIP experience, not only do we spend a day to do that, whether it's in person or virtual, but we take the next 30 days. And I help you do that, I help you walk out the process, and hold you accountable to taking the steps that you said you were going to take. Because at the end of the day, we want to see you have a transformation. There is something that you set out to do. There is a God given divine purpose calling on your life. And in order for you to truly step in to that. It requires you to really embody what that means for you so you can help others get the transformation.

19:35
So if this is something that interests you, I'd love to have a conversation with you. We can jump on a discovery call and talk about what are the options and what that might look for you to really take that step and have a VIP experience for yourself.
