You Are Not Alone!
Spiritual abuse and religious trauma are something that many individuals experience and struggle with in silence. As someone who has experienced both I completely understand how debilitating and lonely it can be.
It can cause a ripple effect throughout your life resulting in anxiety, depression, loss of trust, inability to make decisions, a sense of powerlessness and hopelessness.
You Are Not Alone!
Spiritual abuse is described as the harmful impact on the mind, body and spirit that can occur as part of an individual's church or religious experience. It is not limited to one religion, denomination or spiritual context.
Signs of spiritual abuse include (not limited to):
leadership or authority representing God
spiritual bullying
acceptance via performative behaviour
intimidation and manipulation
censorship and loss of ability to speak the truth
public shame and humiliation
the threat of spiritual consequences for not conforming
creating an us vs them mentality

I’ve Been Where You Are
Hey, my name is Andrea Crisp and I’m a former Evangelical Worship Pastor turned Empowerment Coach, and I know exactly how it feels to walk away from a religious community.
Losing my faith community was one of the single most painful experiences that I have ever had to go through. When I left my full-time position as a church pastor and began my faith deconstruction I felt completely isolated and alone.
It took me years to find a therapist that specialized in spiritual abuse and religious trauma. And even longer to feel accepted into a new community that embraced who I had been and was becoming.
I am passionate about helping individuals heal so that they can step into their divine purpose.
